Who is Praktijk Flores for?

At Praktijk Flores, you can seek help if you are struggling with psychological difficulties, have questions about your sexuality, or experience a combination of both. The practice is for adults aged 18 and over who are looking for professional, accessible, and short-term treatment within the Generalist Basic Mental Health Care (GB-GGZ).

Sexual concerns and questions

Sexuality is an important part of life—but it does not always come naturally. You are welcome to contact me if you experience:

  • Little or no desire for sex, while you would like to feel desire or miss it
  • Sex that has become tense or burdensome, for example due to pain, anxiety, or performance pressure
  • Difficulties with arousal or orgasm
  • Pain during sex involving the vulva, penis, or anus, or vaginismus
  • Struggles with your sexual orientation or gender identity
  • A sexual preference or fantasy that causes distress or feelings of shame

Or perhaps you are not quite sure what is going on, but you sense that something is not right—you are welcome in that case too.

Often, underlying themes play a role, such as self-image, body image, perfectionism, control, negative beliefs, shame, trauma, or internalised norms. There is space to explore these as well.

When is my practice not suitable?

When is my practice not suitable?

In some situations, I may not be the right therapist for you. In those cases, you are likely to be better supported by a specialised service or a setting with a broader range of care options. This usually applies when acute care is needed, when there are multiple complex and interrelated difficulties, or when you have already undergone several treatments. This will be assessed during the registration process or the intake.
